We know and understand how financially and emotionally difficult this season is that we are living in; there is no doubt about that. Our prayers are with you!
Yet at the same time, as in the days of the Old Testament when the people of God were in trouble, people have begun turning to God for help more than ever. Our phone lines, mail box, emails and social web pages are filled with people wanting prayer, wanting to hear from God or to know about our Jesus!!
We now need your help! After decades of ministry, many of our loving covenant partners have gone home to be with the Lord, to receive their rewards and to walk on streets of Gold where there is no suffering. Added to that, we too have been hit by this huge dip in the economy, God help us. Our finances have taken a down turn that will hurt all of the many and varied ministries that God has placed us over. We don't want to slow down now when we are most needed, we want to remain in the forefront used of God!!!
This is the very first time that I have sent a letter like this in the history of our Ministry. I don't want to slow down in reaching people for my Jesus, so I thought I would put this before the people.

During our visit to the Capital in Washington, D.C., God spoke to me about the "Barnabas Project" for C.I.M.. After much prayer, we began the project in June!! Nomi and I are going out of our way to personally shake hands and edify our leaders who have the same Christian principles as we do.

Here in our little community, the local VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) group was enjoying their meeting recently when the door suddenly flew open and in stormed the goons from the Florida ABT (Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco). They claimed that illegal gambling was taking place. The VFW, like just about every other civic organization, club, association etc. has a 50/50 at their meetings wherein people buy a ticket (usually cost one dollar) and at the end of the meeting, one ticket is drawn and that winner gets 50% of the total money while the organization gets the other half. It is a great way that these organizations raise money to help their community. The goons from the ABT claimed they were breaking the law - and they took all the money!

When the Commander of the VFW demanded to know what was going, it is reported that the goon in charge waved handcuffs at the Commander and "threatened him with a ride"..............meaning to jail. How utterly shameful! These are American combat veterans and the ABT goons treated them like common criminals.
